Hey Mayhemers,

We’re making a change to Reversals to help make your matches more strategic, exciting, and full of choice. This update is designed to give you more control over how and when to unleash your Special Move, Signature Move, or Super Move without always having to second-guess a reversal.

Why the Change?

Right now, it’s usually best to just wait for your opponent to use a Special Move, Signature Move, or Super Move then reverse it. That kind of 1:1 energy trade (where you cancel their move and hurt them back) has become the go-to tactic for many, turning matches into a waiting game rather than a thrilling fight.

We wanted to change that to make every Special Move, Signature Move, or Super Move feel meaningful again and open up new ways for you to play your style, create unique Special Move, Signature Move, or Super Move chains, and outthink your opponent.

What’s Changing?

With this update:

• Reversals will now cost 1.5x the energy of the opponent’s Special Move, or Signature Move you’re trying to reverse.

• Super Moves can no longer be reversed.

For example: If your opponent uses an Signature Move that costs 2 energy, reversing it will now cost you 3 energy.

What This Means for You

This change gives you more freedom, more variety, and more chances to surprise your opponent.

Whether you:

• Unleash a Special Move, or Signature Move when your opponent doesn’t have the energy to reverse.

• Chain together combos without being punished.

• Or save up for your unstoppable Super Moves.

…the choice is finally yours and you won’t be at a disadvantage for playing your way.

Expect fewer reversals on both sides, and more moments where bold play and smart timing shine. It’s no longer just about waiting, it's about reading the ring, using your energy wisely, and making every move count.

Looking Ahead

While Super Moves will no longer be reversible now, we’re already exploring future mechanics and abilities that may allow certain Superstars to reverse even those. Stay tuned!
